Pune: Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol’s efforts bear fruit, new terminal at Pune airport to become operative from July 14
Pune: The new terminal at the Pune International Airport is getting ready to provide services. Following the appointment of CISF jawans, the technical process will soon be completed. Puneites will get a big relief after the terminal becomes operative on coming Sunday (July 14). This was revealed by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol.
Additional CISF manpower was needed to start the new terminal. Union Minister Mohol followed up the issue and had a discussion with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Permission was immediately granted for the manpower and the jawans arrived at the airport. Now, the technical process has started.
Providing details, Union Minister Mohol said, “The CISF jawans will be deployed at the airport and the inland baggage system has also been installed. The technical process is speedily underway and will be completed soon. Therefore, the way has been cleared for operating the new terminal, which will become operative on July 14.”
Union Minister Mohol will hand over boarding pass to the first passenger
The first passenger entering the new terminal will be issued the boarding pass by Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol. An Air India passenger will get the pass and the new terminal will go operational.
