Pune: After Six Months of Father’s Suicide, 22-Year-Old Also Ended His Life in Similar Way

Pune: The mountain of grief has fallen on the Gawade family of Kunjirwadi, where the family has witnessed two back-to-back suicide cases within the span of six months. Sunny Hanumant Gawade, a 22-year-old resident of Kunjirwadi, Taluka Haveli, committed suicide on Wednesday morning around 9.30 a.m.

In this case, Ganesh Gawade, the elder brother of the deceased Sunny Gawade, informed the Loni Kalbhor police station. Notably, six months ago, the father of the deceased individual, Hanumant Khandu Gawade (age 43), also ended his life by committing suicide.

As per the information, Sunny was unemployed, and he was addicted to alcohol. On Wednesday morning, Ganesh Gawade saw that his brother had committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of the house with the help of a saree. After that, Ganesh informed the police about it.

On getting information about this incident, the police sub-inspector of Loni Kalbhor police station, Mahesh Nalavade, Suvarna Gosavi, police constable Mahesh Kare, Ghansham Adke, and police Patil Milind Kunjir rushed to the spot. With the help of the citizens, the police took down the body of Sunny Gawade and sent it to Sassoon Hospital in Pune for an autopsy.

Although the reason for Sunny Gawade’s suicide has not yet come to light, further investigation is being conducted by the Loni Kalbhor police.

Meanwhile, just six months ago, Sunny’s father also committed suicide. The entire Kunjirwadi village is mourning the loss of Sunny Gawade.
