Pune: BJP workers to help police to control traffic – Dheeraj Ghate
Pune: BJP City Unit President Dheeraj Ghate has announced that 100 BJP workers from the city will help the Traffic Police to control traffic once in a week at major chowks.
A BJP delegation met Additional CP Manoj Patil and DCP (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar urging them to take urgent measures to control traffic snarls across the city.
City Unit BJP General Secretaries Varsha Tapkir, Ravindra Salegaonkar, Bapu Mankar, Rajendra Shilimkar, Rahul Bhandare, State BJP Youth Wing Secretary Sushil Mengade, Nivedita Ekbote, Women Wing President Harshada Pharande, corporators Ajay Khedekar, Mahesh Galande, Prasanna Dada Jagtap, Haridas Charvad, Umesh Gaikwad, Pralhad Saikar, Manasi Deshpande, Nilima Khade, Gayatri Khadke, Manjusha Nagpure, Priyanka Shendge, Pratik Desarda, Prashant Surve, Anand Patil, Sanjay Mayekar, Pushkar Tuljapurkar and Girish Khatri were present.
Addl CP Patil gave a presentation before the delegation on the steps taken to solve traffic issues in the city. He appealed to the civic body and its various departments to cooperate with the police for an effective implementation of these measures.
