Mumbai: The Maha Yuti is going all out to advertise the Ladki Bahin Yojana. However, its constituents are competing with each other to claim credit for the scheme.

The NCP (AP) and the Shiv Sena (BT) are claiming the scheme as their party’s initiative. The NCP (AP) has dropped the leaders from alliance partners in their advertisements. This has given rise to a controversy. The party recently posted an advertisement on social media, in which the word ‘Mukhyamantri’ has been replaced with ‘Dadacha Vada’. The party has intentionally mentioned it as the ‘Ajit Pawar’s Ladki Bahin Yojana’. The promo does not have photos of other Maha Yuti leaders. Only Ajit Pawar’s photo has been used. The advertisement asks women to contact the NCP helpline.

It is an attempt to win over women supporters using Pawar’s name. However, it may intensify the tussle between the NCP (AP) and the Shiv Sena (BT).
