Would BJP accept Ajit Pawar’s Muslim card in the State polls? NCP (AP) to field one Muslim candidate in each region
Pune: Politicians have said that the State Assembly elections are likely to be held in the second week of November.
The BJP and the Shiv Sena (BT) will rely on the Hindutva plank to win the elections. BJP leaders’ speeches are projecting the Hindutva agenda. However, the NCP (AP), which is a Maha Yuti constituent led by Ajit Pawar, has decided to allot 10 pc seats to the Muslims from its quota. This was decided in a party meeting. The NCP (AP) may get four seats out of 36 in Mumbai.
The party could field Muslim candidates on all these four seats. Moreover, at least one Muslim candidate will be chosen from each region.
Nawab Malik, Sana Malik, Zishan Siddiqui and Najeeb Mulla are among the probable candidates in Mumbai from the NCP (AP).
