Pune: Man Brutally Beaten After Confronting Obscene Gestures During Ganesh Immersion Procession in Erandwane

A shocking incident has come to light from Erandwane, where a person was brutally beaten up by a gang out of anger after the victim confronted one of the accused for making obscene gestures by looking at him during the immersion procession of Akhil Ganesh Mandal in Erandwane.
In this regard, the police have registered a case against Omkar Vede, Srikant Kadam, Akash Mapari, and Shubham Chorge (all residents of Ganesh Nagar, Erandwane) on the complaint of Shivam Prasad Marne (age 24, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, Erandwane).
This incident took place at Kajree Chowk on Laxmi Road on September 18 at 11 a.m. during the immersion procession.
According to the information provided by the police, the Ganesh immersion procession of the Akhil Ganesh Mandal of Erandwane came to Kajree Chowk on Laxmi Road on September 18. At that time, Omkar Vede stood on the tractor and started making dirty gestures by looking at the plaintiff.
When the plaintiff asked him the reason for making dirty gestures by looking at him, Omkarās friends such as Akash, Srikant, and Shubham argued and beat up the plaintiff and his cousin Tanmay. Akash Mapari dragged the plaintiff behind the tractor and injured the plaintiff by hitting an iron object into his head. Further, Omkar Vede also got out of the tractor and assaulted the plaintiff.
Police constable Mane is investigating further in this case.
