Pune: Supriya Sule to sue Devendra Fadnavis over irrigation scam file revelation after state polls

Pune: Allegations and counter-allegations are running thick and fast during the poll campaign. NCP MP Supriya Sule has targeted DyCM Devendra Fadnavis over the Rs 70,000-crore irrigation scam.

She said that she would drag Fadnavis to court after the State Assembly elections get over. Sule said, “DyCM Devendra Fadnavis had levelled allegations of corruption against Ajit Pawar. The former showed a file related to the scam to the latter, as claimed by the latter. How could Fadnavis show the file to Ajit Pawar? I will file a case against Fadnavis, waiting for the elections to get over.

“Fadnavis will have to explain to the State because when he was sworn in as the Chief Minister, he vowed to not reveal any classified information to anyone. Is it appropriate to show the scam-related file to the person, who is allegedly involved in the scam?

“This is an insult to the Constitution. Therefore, it is our demand that Devendra Fadnavis owes an explanation. How and why did he reveal the file?”
