Pune: Vadgaon Sheri Maha Yuti candidate Sunil Tingre holds padyatra in Chandan Nagar
Pune: Vadgaon Sheri MLA Sunil Tingre has entered the fray again as the Maha Yuti-NCP (AP) candidate. He is campaigning strongly in the Assembly segment. His formidable opponent is NCP (SP) candidate Bapusaheb Pathare.
A padyatra was held in Chandan Nagar to campaign for Sunil Tingre. It went through areas such as Chandan Nagar, Borate Vasti, Shejwal Park, Dinkar Pathare Vasti and Yashwant Nagar. An appeal was made to local residents to elect Tingre with a huge margin. Women welcomed Sunil Tingre by performing the traditional ‘Aukshan’. Former MLA Jagdish Mulik was present.
Citizens’ response to the walkathon was huge. Former corporators, senior office-bearers and workers from the BJP-Maha Yuti participated in a large number.
