Wakad Police Arrested Individual Who Murdered Female Partner and Lodged False Missing Complaint of Her

In a significant action, the Wakad police have arrested a man who murdered his female partner, who was living in a live-in relationship with him. As per the primary information, it is learnt that the man has murdered a woman, as he was suspicious about her character and she was constantly demanding money from him.

The murdered woman has been identified as Jayashree Vinay More (age 27, a resident of Address Tower, Marunji, Hinjewadi). In this regard, the Wakad police have arrested Dinesh Popat Thombre (age 32, a resident of Maval).

As per the police information, Jayashree More was married and she was living with her husband after the marriage, whereas Dinesh, who is working as a supervisor in the Hinjewadi company, was also married and he is having two children from his first marriage. Five years ago, both Jayashree and Dinesh met each other through social media, and then they started living together in a live-in relationship. Interestingly, they both have a three-year-old child.

Meanwhile, Dinesh found out that Jayashree had another mobile phone with her, and it was always on silent. When he asked about that mobile phone, the two got into an argument. From suspicion of Jayashree having an affair with someone else, both again had an argument on November 24 near the Hotel Ginger at Bhumkar Chowk around 10 p.m. In the heat of anger, Dinesh took a hammer from his car and murdered Jayashree by hitting it at her head.

After that, he took Jayashree’s body into Khambataki Ghat through his car, and he dropped her body there and came back. Later, he filed a missing complaint of Jayashree at Hinjewadi Police Station. However, when police interrogated him about the incident, he came out of the police station and also left his and Jayashree’s 3-year-old son in Alandi. Meanwhile, Alandi police found the boy, and they made his photo viral, appealing people to identify him.

At the same time, police also found that the identity of the woman in Khambataki Ghat and the description of the missing woman are the same. After identifying the identity of the murdered Jayashree, the police called Dinesh and enquired about the incident. At that time, Dinesh confessed the crime, and police arrested him.

This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Nivruti Kolhatkar, Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Chavan, Police Sub-Inspector Aniruddha Sawarde, Police Sub-Inspector Bharat Mane, Bibhishan Kanherkar, Police Ammaldar Chandu Gire, Namdev Wadekar, Ramchandra Talape, Tatyasaheb Shinde, Saudagar Lamtare, and Kotenya Kharade under the guidance of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, Joint Police Commissioner Dr. Shashikant Mahanwar, Additional Police Commissioner Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad, and Assistant Police Commissioner Sunil Kurade.
