Pune: Anti-Narcotics Cell Nabs Drug Peddler from Mangdewadi, Seizes Rs 98,260 Worth of Narcotics

In a significant action, the Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested a young man who was illegally smuggling drugs and selling them. In this action, police seized drugs worth Rs 98,260 from him.
The smuggler has been identified as Shivling Nagnath Awate (age 39, a resident of Shambhu Residency, Mangdewadi, Katraj).
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has ordered to take strict action against maximum drug smugglers by conducting an anti-drug campaign against them. Accordingly, the Anti-Narcotics Cell was patrolling in Pune city.
At that time, Shivling Awate was standing suspiciously in front of the Indian Oil petrol pump on Pune Satara Road in Mangdewadi. The police then detained and frisked him. At that time, he was found to be in possession of charas, two mobile phones, and cash worth Rs 1 lakh 69 thousand. Subsequently, police arrested him.
This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Ulhas Kadam, Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote, Police Sub-Inspector Digambar Kokate, Police Amaldar Pravin Uttekar, Sandeep Shirke, Sachin Malve, Vipul Gaikwad, Sandesh Kakade, Dattaram Jadhav, and Yogesh Mohite under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingale, and Assistant Police Commissioner Ganesh Ingle.
