Pune: Major Power Outage in Shivajinagar, Deccan, and Other Areas on Feb 6 Due to Metro, MSETCL Work
Pune :
Large parts of Pune, especially Shivajinagar and Deccan, will experience a major power outage on Thursday, February 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., as Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) undertakes critical high-voltage power line work in coordination with Pune Metro.
The power shutdown will affect three high-voltage substations of MSETCL, leading to a complete power cut in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MahaVitaran’s) substations supplying electricity to the affected areas. The outage is necessary for essential upgrades along the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi Metro corridor, where MSETCL is laying 132 KV underground power lines.
To execute this work, power supply to the 220/132 KV Ganeshkhind and Chinchwad high-voltage substations, along with the GKRS substation in Kothrud, will be completely shut down. This will have a cascading impact, cutting off power to large parts of the city between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
In the following areas, the power cut will be enforced on Thursday, February 6:
Ganeshkhind, Model Colony, Deep Bungalow Area, Wadarwadi, Gokhale Nagar, Janata Vasahat, MIG Colony, Vaiduwadi, Janwadi, Vetalbaba Chowk, Mangalwadi, Senapati Bapat Road, Ramanbaug Chowk, New Marathi School, Narayan Peth, Shivajinagar Gavthan, Jangali Maharaj Road, Rokdoba Temple Area, Laxmi Road, Kumthekar Chowk, Police Line Colony, Ghole Road, Modern College, Vijay Talkies, Revenue Colony, Shimla Office, All India Radio, District Court, Kamgar Putla, Metro Station, Sancheti Hospital, Thube Park, Aundh Village, Siddharth Nagar, Parihar Chowk, Bremen Chowk, Sangvi Road, Om Super Market, Thorat Chowk, Wakdewadi, Sakhar Sankul Road, Chaphekar Nagar, All India Radio Colony, Rahul Theatre, Khairewadi, Dalvi Hospital, Ashok Nagar, Range Hills Road, Kakade Mall, ABIL, Modibaug, Chavan Nagar, Apte Road, Rupali Gali, Shirole Road, Ghole Road, Pulachi Wadi, Sambhaji Garden, FC Road, Vaishali Hotel, Sutardara, Shivtirtha Nagar, Samrajya Nagar, Shikshak Nagar, Jay Bhavani Nagar, Kishkindha Nagar, etc.
