Pune: Youth from Pimpalwandi dies in accident
Pune: A youth died in an accident on Kalyan-Ahilyanagar Highway at 11 pm on Monday (February 25). The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Ramesh Kakade (32).
Rajesh was riding his two-wheeler and headed from Alephata towards Otur when his vehicle collided with a car near Pimpri Pendhar village. He died on the spot.
Police officials and personnel rushed to the spot after learning about the accident and conducted the panchnama. Kalyan-Ahilyanagar Highway is being concretised and has become dangerous for traffic as its width has narrowed. Citizens demanded that the road work should be completed immediately.
Accidents took place on the highway earlier too. Rajesh is survived by his wife, parents and sister. Pimpalwandi gram panchayat member Nitesh Kakade lodged a complaint at the Otur police station.
