Pune: Blood donation camp held to celebrate Shri Rasiklal Manikchand Dhariwal’s birth anniversary

Pune: RMD Foundation Founder-President and Manikchand Group of Industries Head Honcho Rasiklal M Dhariwal’s birth anniversary is celebrated every year by organising a blood donation camp. This has been the practice for the past eight consecutive years. This year, over 200 blood donors donated blood in the camp.
Famous singer Shri Hariharan Subramani visited the venue and extended his good wishes. As many as 100 cataract operations were done for free at the HV Desai Hospital through the RMD Foundation on the occasion of Shri Rasiklal Dhariwal’s birth anniversary. Henceforth, 100 cataract operations will be conducted for free every month by the RMD Foundation, announced Shobhatai Dhariwal.
Various training programmes based on agriculture and non-agriculture professions will be conducted throughout the year by the Sou Shobhatai Dhariwal Muktangan Shetkari Prashikshan Kendra on the premises of the Madha Welfare Foundation, Nimgaon, Solapur. This was revealed by office-bearers present. In all, 25 office-bearers and other members donated blood on the occasion.
Office-bearers, teachers and the principal of Sou Shobhatai English Medium School, Kudchi, Belgaum thanked Shobhatai and felicitated her. The school has been built by the RMD Foundation. Over 20 staffers of the school also donated blood.
The foundation is saving hundreds of trees affected by the Ring Road project in Pune. It is carrying out transplantation of such trees, said Janhavi Dhariwal Balan. She appealed to citizens to cooperate as per their capacity to save trees.
Office-bearers of the ancient Vruddheshwar Siddheshwar temple thanked Shobhatai and felicitated her for the temple’s renovation.
The blood donation camp, which started at 8 am, continued till 7 pm.
