High command’s preference for Eknath Shinde leaves State BJP sulking

Mumbai: The three-party Maha Yuti alliance will contest the upcoming State Legislative Assembly polls together. PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visits to Maharashtra have increased. But it is said that they are preferring CM Eknath Shinde, which has left the state BJP sulking.

PM Modi will inaugurate Mumbai Metro 3 first phase. Its function and a show of strength ahead of the State polls will be held in Thane. The State BJP is not happy with this decision.

The then CM Devendra Fadnavis had worked hard for Mumbai Metro 3. The MVA had opposed the project. The car shed at Aarey Colony was halted. Fadnavis revived the project and its first phase has been completed.

Modi will inaugurate it on October 5. This will deprive Fadnavis and the Mumbai BJP of staging a show of strength.
