Pune: Bapusaheb Pathare kicks off poll campaign from Navi Khadki, Vadgaon Sheri; people join in hordes

Pune: Vadgaon Sheri is a prestigious Assembly segment in the city. The battle is mainly between sitting MLA and NCP (AP) candidate Sunil Tingre and NCP (SP) candidate Bapusaheb Pathare.

Pathare started his campaign from Bhairavnath Mandir in Vadgaon Sheri by breaking coconut for an auspicious beginning. People joined his walkathon in a large number. He also visited the Navi Khadki area.

The campaign was launched coinciding with the festival atmosphere. In fact, campaigns of other candidates from across the city picked up momentum in the past two days.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Bapusaheb Pathare said, “It is not only the inauguration of my campaign but it is also the beginning of an all-round development and progress of my fellow citizens. Going by the response that I am getting, my victory will be easier. Citizens trust my style of working and my vision. I will live up to their trust by working for their development in the near future.”

Women, youths, senior citizens crowded at both the places after the inauguration of the campaign. Office-bearers and workers of the Maha Vikas Aghadi were present.
