Pune: Chandrakant Patil attends various programmes; huge rally and walkathon led by Amol Balwadkar staged in Kothrud segment
Pune: Candidates from various Assembly constituencies have a huge task ahead of reaching out to voters. There are merely 13 days left for the campaign to end. Sundays falling on November 10 and 17 are the only two weekly holidays available.
Meanwhile, BJP candidate from the Kothrud Assembly segment and State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil has been participating in religious ceremonies, Diwali Faral programmes and visiting eminent citizens from various walks of life in the constituency. Thus, he has been reaching out to a maximum number of citizens.
World renowned chess player Grandmaster Abhijit Kunte is a resident of Kothrud. He is the first Puneite to win the Grandmaster title. Chandrakant met Kunte too.
Patil also participated in the ‘Namsankirtan Sohla’ organised by the Maa Sarla Kalinga Samaj Charitable Trust in Aundh. He sought blessings of the deity and wished best for its success.
NCP (AP) Pune Women’s Wing Executive President Poonam Vidhate paid a goodwill visit to Patil on the occasion of Diwali. NCP (AP) Ward President Vishal Vidhate, Sachin Pashankar, Ganesh Kalamkar, Pralhad Saikar, Prakash Balwadkar, Lahu Balwadkar and other prominent citizens were present.
Patil was also present at the Diwali Faral programme organised by former Corporators Rajabhau Barate and Vitthal Barate. He met many people here and extended his warm wishes.
A meeting presided over by BJP leader Amol Balwadkar was organised in Baner. All office-bearers and workers from Kothrud Uttar Mandal were present for the planning. Balwadkar discussed with all management of the campaign for Patil. A huge rally and walkathon were held under the leadership of Balwadkar. It was resolved, in the meeting, to get Patil elected with a massive margin of votes.
