Pune: Fire Brigade Swiftly Extinguishes Bus Blaze on Solapur Highway; Passengers Safe (Video)
Pune: A private bus caught fire near the Kadamwak Wasti area on Solapur Highway in Hadapsar around 9 a.m., prompting a swift response from the fire brigade. Upon receiving the emergency call, a fire brigade vehicle was immediately dispatched to the scene from Hadapsar and the PMRDA.
Upon arrival, the fire brigade personnel quickly assessed the situation and confirmed that all 14 passengers and the bus driver were safely evacuated. The fire, which had engulfed the entire bus, was brought under control within 20 minutes by the firefighters using water jets.
While there were no injuries reported, the bus was completely destroyed in the blaze. Passengers’ luggage and a two-wheeler stored in the trunk were also gutted into the fire.
The successful firefighting operation was carried out by Fire Officer Pramod Sonawane, Driver Narayan Jagtap, Constable Baba Chavan, Aniket Taru, Avinash Dhakne, Ramdas Lad, PMRDA Driver Sandeep Shelke, Constable Laxman Misal, Akash Rathod, Suraj Ingawale, and Sanket Kumbhar.
