Pune: Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)-Congress candidate from the Cantonment Assembly constituency Ramesh Bagwe held a padyatra in Ghorpadi on Thursday (November 7) morning as a part of his poll campaign. He received a huge response to the walkathon.

Bagwe said, “Traffic issues have assumed a serious proportion in the Cantonment Assembly segment. Citizens face traffic congestion daily. Traffic issues have become complex in the past 10 years. Commuters get stuck in traffic while waiting for the railway gate to open in Ghorpadi. They spend over 30 minutes stranded.

“A flyover needs to be built in the area. However, the flyover could not be built in Ghorpadi though the BJP ruled at the Centre and in the State for the past 10 years. The Cantonment area’s development has halted. A change is needed to solve issues in the constituency.”
