Pune: Huge response to Bapusaheb Patahre’s walkathons in Kharadi, Chandan Nagar
Pune: Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)-NCP (SP) candidate Bapusaheb Pathare is focusing on personal visits to voters during his poll campaign. It is seen that he is holding a direct dialogue with them in the Vadgaon Sheri Assembly constituency.
He is staging padyatras in various parts of the constituency. A padyatra was held in Kharadi and Chandan Nagar on Thursday (November 7). The walkathon received a massive response from local residents. MVA office-bearers and workers were also present in a large number.
Pathare was welcomed by womenfolk after performing the traditional ‘Aukshan’, wherein they lit a diya and put it in a thali. Then they showered ‘akshata’ or auspicious rice grain on him. They put a vermillion mark or ‘tilak’ on his forehead and moved the thali from left to right in a circular motion. Thus, they pray for his success.
Pathare interacted with people from all strata of society and tried to understand their issues. He promised to solve their problems.
Many citizens narrated their woes with regard to civic infrastructure in their areas during Pathare’s padyatras. He assured them that he would look into them. Therefore, people extended their support to him.
