Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Jagtap said, “It is time to free the Hadapsar segment from water shortages, traffic issues and crime. The sitting MLA has completely failed to solve these issues. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will fill the backlog and take Hadapsar towards development.”
Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Shivarkar, NCP (SP) District President Jagannath Shewale, former state legislator Jaidev Gaikwad, former Mayor Ankush Kakade, Shiv Sena (UBT) City Unit Vice-President Sameer Tupe, former Deputy Mayor Bandu Gaikwad, Nilesh Magar, Shiv Sena (UBT) former corporator Vijay Deshmukh, former corporator Yogesh Sasane, Congress Legislative segment President Dilip Tupe, NCP (SP) Legislative segment President Pravin Tupe, Shamsuddin Inamdar, Sachin Nanavare, Puja Kodre, Hemlata Magar, Ratnaprabha Jagtap, former and sitting office-bearers, workers of the alliance partners were present in a large number.
Prashant Jagtap said, “I broke the auspicious coconut at the Shri Bhairavnath Mandir to launch the campaign and sought the deity’s blessings. MVA leaders and family members accompanied me. Hon. Sharadschandra Pawar Saheb has given an opportunity to a common worker like me to contest the election for Hadapsar’s development. I will prove my worth with cooperation from you all.
“I will do justice by presenting issues of the constituency in the State Legislature. Water shortages, traffic issues and crime have been plaguing the segment. The inactive sitting MLA has done nothing in the past five years. Therefore, people are supporting me. I am confident that I will represent Hadapsar with your blessings.”
Ankush Kakade said, “Pawar Saheb has always empowered party workers. Prashant Jagtap is one of them. His tenures as the Mayor and party President have been impressive. He enjoys a good rapport with the people and has a good understanding of issues faced by the common people. He represents a cultured and progressive face of Hadapsar.”
Praising Jagtap’s work and appealing voters to elect him, Balasaheb Shivarkar said, “I used to represent this constituency in the past. Nothing was done in the segment in the past five years. The sitting MLA needs to be sent home.”
