Show of strength planned at Ashirwad Melava on October 6
Pune: The State Assembly elections are approaching. The poll code of conduct will be announced soon. Political activity is increasing. The Kothrud Assembly segment is in focus in the city, where BJP leader Amol Balwadkar has organised the ‘Ashirwad Melava’ (get-together to seek blessings of citizens) on Sunday (October 6).
Balwadkar is going to stage a show of strength through the Melava. He will clarify his future political stance at the get-together. Seating arrangements for around 40,000 citizens have been made at the venue. A huge mandap facility based on the ‘German Hanger’ system has been made available. All citizens will be distributed ‘Diwali Saranjam’ (provisions for Diwali celebrations) kits.
Speaking about the get-together, Balwadkar said, “The Melava of citizens from Kothrud, whom I treat as VIPs, will be held. These VIPs will occupy the dais. I will accept the decision that they take.”
Meanwhile, political circles are curious to know what stance Amol Balwadkar takes.
