Pune: In today’s campaign rally, the NCP’s official candidate from the Bhor assembly constituency, Shankar Mandekar, assured the people to do every possible help to take the Rajgad Cooperative Sugar Factory, which is ravaged by corruption, out of losses. He was speaking at his campaign rally in Bhor.

Mandekar said, “Rajgad factory has a huge debt. The factory has become closed due to the corruption of the factory officials. Due to this, the issue of the livelihoods of 155 workers has arisen.” He further said that even if this factory is sold ten times, the incurred loss of this factory would not be recovered.

At this time, Mandekar accused that the officials of this factory always cheated people and farmers in the area. They never paid farmers on time. They always gave less price to farmers than other factories. He also said that this is a clear fraud on the farmers who have trusted the leaders for so many years.

During his speech, Mandekar further assured people to revive this factory and to give new life to it. “With the cooperation of our leader Ajitdada Pawar, we will try to find out how the factory will be started and how the workers’ debts can be paid,” said Shankar Mandekar.

Mandekar accused that this factory had not improved in the last 40 years. “In one year, big embezzlement took place in the factory, giving the reason that sugar was soaked in water even when there was no rain.” He also said that the leaders will have to give an answer for this to poor farmers.
