Pune: Punit Balan Group honours Olympic Medal Winner Swapnil Kusale with Rs 11 lakh reward
Punit Balan Group’s yet another decision to encourage athletes
Pune: Punit Balan Group (PBG) has given Olympic Bronze Medal Winner Swapnil Kusale a reward of Rs 11-lakh. PBG President and Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan presented the reward cheque to Swapnil on Monday (September 9).
Kolhapur lad Swapnil won the Bronze Medal in 50-m rifle shooting (three position) in the Paris Olympic Games. Khashaba Jadhav won the Bronze Medal in wrestling in 1952 Olympics. Swapnil became the second player from Maharashtra to win a medal in an individual event in the prestigious games.
Taking note of Swapnil’s performance, Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan announced the Rs 11-lakh reward for him. Swapnil got the honour to perform ‘Aarti’ of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati on Monday (September 9). Later, Punit Balan handed over the cheque to Swapnil.
Speaking on the occasion, Swapnil thanked PBG and said, “I am a Ganesh Bhakt. I have the blessings of Bappa. That is why I could win the Bronze Medal. I am fortunate to have got the honour to perform ‘Aarti’ of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati.”
PBG has been supporting many promising and talented players by supporting them financially. All strata of society have appreciated the PBG efforts.
