Pune: Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati’s immersion procession to be taken out in attractively illuminated ‘Mayurpankh Rath’

Pune: The immersion procession of Hindustan’s first Ganpati mandal Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati will be taken out in an attractively illuminated chariot (Rath) this year too. Its procession will start from Lokmanya Tilak’s statue on Tuesday (September 17). This was revealed by Trustee and Celebration Chief Punit Balan.
Giving details about the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati immersion procession, Celebration Chief Punit Balan said, “Like every year, Bappa’s immersion procession will be outstanding this year too.”
Acharya Swami Govind Giri Maharaj will perform ‘Puja’ at 7.30 am on Anant Chaturdashi day. Later, the ‘Mayurpankhi Rath’ will proceed from Varad Vighneshwar Wada to Lokmanya Tilak statue near Mandai at 8.30 am. After the Manache Ganpati are immersed, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati’s glorious procession will start at 8.30 pm.
The Mayurpankh Rath has been illuminated attractively, in front of which various Dhol-Tasha pathaks will perform. They include Shriram, Shivmudra and Samarth. Traditional games will also be demonstrated. We will try to conclude the procession as per the schedule, said Balan.
The immersion procession in Pune is the main attraction for Ganesh Bhakts across the world. Therefore, Ganesh mandals try to make it as attractive, beautiful and grand as possible.
