Rebellion in NCP (AP), Bhausaheb Bhoir announces to contest as independent from Chinchwad

Pimpri: The NCP (AP) fortress of Pimpri-Chinchwad has started crumbling. Ajit Pawar’s close aide Bhausaheb Bhoir has announced that he would contest from the Chinchwad Assembly constituency as an independent. He announced this in a Nirdhar Melava.

He criticised Ajit Pawar saying the latter has made dinosaurs out of lizards. Bhoir said, “I will give a tit for tat to any baseless criticism against me. I know many things about many people.”

Bhoir has served as a corporator for five terms in the PCMC. He says that he was defeated in the State Assembly polls in 2009 and the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 due to Ajit Pawar and the late MLA Laxman Jagtap.

Bhoir said, “I was defeated in a ploy in 2009. The party has done injustice to me from time to time. I was never given any post. But Ajit Pawar made dinosaurs out of lizards. It was decided that I would contest the Lok Sabha poll in 2014. The late Laxman Jagtap fought on the PWP ticket. I was defeated.

“I got a call yesterday. The caller told me that if I contest, he would spend money. This is a calculation. Money through power and power through money. Leaders have started thinking that money can win them elections. I tell my rivals that let me be what I am. Do not threaten my followers.

“If I become an MLA, the late Laxman Jagtap’s soul would rest in peace. I wanted to contest the Chinchwad bypoll. I was denied the Lok Sabha election ticket once again. I was told that the survey did not favour me. I know many things about many people. I will not allow you to go scot free if you go to a low level and criticise me. Laxman Jagtap was fielded to defeat me. Now, I will defeat them by contesting as an independent. I will teach them a lesson.”
