We do not trust exit polls, we will form government: Sanjay Raut
Mumbai: The Assembly poll results will be declared on Saturday (November 23). Exit polls have favoured the Maha Yuti but the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has dismissed them saying they are not credible. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has claimed that their alliance will bag 160 seats.
Raut said, “Before the Lok Sabha elections, they were claiming that the MVA would not even get 10 seats. To hell with surveys! We discussed possibilities yesterday. The voting in Maharashtra and people’s mandate was discussed with Jayant Patil, Balasaheb Thorat, Anil Desai. We will easily get 160 seats.
“Who and how were these surveys conducted? What sort of exit polls are these? We are forming the government on November 26. We do not trust exit polls. Small parties and independents are needed to strengthen the government. We have PWP, socialists, communist MLAs. Independents have also expressed their willingness to support the government.
“It is the BJP’s ploy. They have given us less time to form the government. Results will be out tomorrow. MLAs will reach on November 24-25. Parliamentary parties of the three partners will hold meetings. Their leaders will be elected. A claim will be staked to form the government.
“Raj Bhavan offices are located across the State. The ruling BJP will try to put hurdles. Even if we have the majority, they will do it. We will clear all hurdles and form the MVA government in Maharashtra. Nobody can stop us from doing that.”
