Pune: Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra propagates welfare of universe: Shobhatai R Dhariwal

Pune: RMD Foundation Vice-President Shobhatai Dhariwal has explained the importance of Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra. She said, “When you pray for yourself, the prayer hits the walls of a temple and comes back to you. However, Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra is not a selfish prayer. It is based on selflessness. When you utter every word of this prayer, it spreads in the atmosphere for the welfare of the universe.”
She said, “The recitation of Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra is considered very auspicious in the Jain community. Its regular recitation is believed to ward off adverse impact of planetary constellations. It cures diseases and protects oneself from enemies. One becomes happy and prosperous. Therefore, we have been holding this community recitation for the past eight years to strengthen bonds among community members and to imbibe positivity in them.”
The Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra recitation was organised in the presence of Acharya Padmashri Chandanaji M.S. and Pujya Shri Supriyadarshanji M.S. Adithana – 5 between 4 pm and 5 pm on Sunday (August 25) at the Shriman Rasiklalji M Dhariwal Sthanak Bhavan Yash Lawns, Bibwewadi, Pune.
A large number of Jain and non-Jain people were present at the programme. It is held by RMD Foundation President Janhavi Dhariwal Balan and Vice-President Shobhatai R Dhariwal every year.
Acharya Padmashri Chandanaji M.S. said, “When you throw a stone in water, ripples are created. Similarly, when you recite Sri Uvasaggaharam Stotra, positive vibes are created in you, which you will experience here today. You will definitely take home the positive energy.”
Punit Balan Group President and Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan, RMD Sthanak President Popatsheth Oswal and other office-bearers, office-bearers of various Jain organisations, noted industrialists, students from the Shobhatai R Dhariwal Hostel, FC Road; Shobhaben R Dhariwal Chhatralaya, Deccan Gymkhana; Shobhatai R Dhariwal Hostel, Chinchwad; workers and office-bearers of various Ganesh mandals and devotees of the Warkari Sampradaya, brothers and sisters from the Jain and non-Jain communities were present. A Mahaprasad (feast) was held after the Stotra recitation.
