Ajit Pawar’s Jan Sanman Yatra arrives in Chandgad, Kolhapur: ‘I have proposed increasing the MSP to help farmers, a decision is expected within a week’ says Deputy CM

Kolhapur: Nationalist Congress Party President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s ongoing Jan Sanman Yatra today received tremendous response in Chandgad assembly constituency of the Kolhapur district. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar expressed confidence that Mahayuti will return back to power in Maharashtra and more and more welfare schemes will be launched after forming the government.

While addressing a massive gathering during his ongoing Jan Sanman Yatra in Chandgad, Kolhapur today, the Deputy CM announced that over 44 lakh farmers will get zero electricity bills in the next 10 days. He Highlighted the developmental works undertaken in Kolhapur including allocation of ₹1,000 crores for a medical college as well as approving trauma care center and establishing Ayurvedic college and said the area is being developed as a tourism hub. He said the farmers of Kolhapur are known for timely loan repayments adding that a ₹50,000 incentive is being provided to those farmers who repay 100 percent of their crop loans. “During my meeting with Union Home Minister Hon’ble Amit Shah, I proposed increasing the MSP to genuinely benefit farmers, and he assured me a decision would be made within a week” said Mr. Ajit Pawar.

Talking about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, the Deputy CM informed that 1.59 crore women have benefited from this scheme and observed that such welfare schemes will continue if the Mahayuti alliance returns to power. Amid massive presence of women in the Yatra, he also applauded them saying women are more efficient workers than men. In his address, the NCP President also lauded MLA Rajesh Patil for his efforts for the development of the area and said the MLA has secured ₹1,600 crores for the development in the region in the last three years. He added that Rajesh Patil was instrumental in establishing an Arts, Science, and Commerce college for students from the border areas. “If you vote for us, I guarantee to double the constituency’s funding in the next term”, said Mr. Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar appealed to the voters to support the Mahayuti candidates in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
