Anti-Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad Confiscates Illicit Liquor Worth Rs 4.12 Lakh from Bolero Pickup on Katraj-Kondhwa Road
Pune: After it was found that the country-made liquor was transported from a Bolero pickup on Katraj Kondhwa road, the anti-robbery and vehicle theft squad has caught this pickup van and seized the liquor worth Rs 4 lakh 12 thousand from it. The police also arrested the prime accused, Bhagat Ganesh Prajapati (age 24, a resident of Bagale Mala, Urali Kanchan), in this case.
According to the information given by the police, the team of police inspector Sandipan Pawar of the anti-robbery and vehicle theft squad was patrolling for crime prevention in the area. As they were passing through the Katraj-Kondhwa Road Bypass, Police Constable Vinay Yewale saw a Bolero pickup truck driving suspiciously on the road.
When they stopped the pickup and checked inside, they found a total of 1,575 litres of country-made liquor in 45 plastic cans of 35 litres each worth Rs 1 lakh 57 thousand 500 in it. Accordingly, police seized a liquor, mobile, and Bolero pickup vehicle whose collective value stands at 4 lakh, 12 thousand rupees.
This action has been taken by the Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingle and Police Inspector Sandipan Pawar of the anti-robbery and vehicle theft squad, as well as Assistant Police Inspector Berad and Police Ammaldar Vinay Yewale.
