Areas Near Pune Station to Face Water Supply Disruption on Friday and Saturday Due to Repairing of Water Channel
Pune: As the main water pipe supplying water to the city has burst in the area of Sassoon Hospital, the water supply in this area has been affected. The Water Supply Department of Pune Municipal Corporation is undertaking the repair work of this water channel on Friday. As a result, the water supply will be stopped in some parts of Pune on Friday.
Therefore, the Water Supply Department of PMC has appealed to the citizens to store water properly and avoid waste during those days. The Water Supply Department said in a statement that the water supply to Pune railway station and surrounding areas will be closed on Friday. On the next day, i.e., Saturday (17th), there will be a late and low-pressure water supply in the morning.
Because of this, areas including Pune Railway Station area, Somwar Peth, Mangalwar Peth, Garpir Vasti, Pandhra Ganapati area, Somwar Peth Police Colony, Barke Ali, Saraswat Colony, Ghodamla area, Jedhe Park, Sassoon Hospital, and Sancheti Hospital on Ganeshkhind road to Modi Baug area will face shortages of water on Friday and Saturday.
The municipality has said that water supply to the area on both sides of the road, the old Pune-Mumbai road, the area on both sides from Sangam Bridge to Mula Road, the Tadiwala road slum, and the old market area will be closed on Friday.
