Pune: Arijit Singh’s concert in Pune last year was a musical treat but led to severe traffic congestion. To prevent a repeat of the chaos, the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for his upcoming concert on March 16, 2025, at Gahunje Stadium, Maharashtra Cricket Association, within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits.
With a massive crowd expected, authorities have outlined road closures, alternate routes, and travel restrictions to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety.
Traffic Advisory and Alternate Routes
For Vehicles Coming via Expressway:
Dehu Road Exit – Turn left, then left again onto the service road next to Mamurdi to reach the stadium.
Kiwale Bridge – U-turn at Kiwale Bridge, head towards Mukai Chowk, and take the service road to the stadium.
For Vehicles from Other Areas:
Shitla Devi Mandir Route – Turn left and follow the service road via Lekha Farm.
Central Chowk Route – Take a left turn from Kiwale Bridge towards Krishna Chowk, then proceed to parking.
Old Mumbai-Pune Highway Route – Take a U-turn from Central Chowk to Sai Nagar Phata for parking.
Restricted Access and Prohibitions
Vehicles from the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway, Somatane Phata, and Mamurdi Zakatanaka underpass are prohibited.
From Pune-Bangalore Highway:
After Pawanadi Bridge, turn left from Kiwale Bridge and take the service road to the stadium.
From Nigdi & Hanging Bridge:
Vehicles from Ravet Chowk, Bhondve Chowk, and Krishna Chowk must turn right at respective junctions and head toward the stadium.
Limited Access Near the Stadium:
Gahunje Bridge to Y Junction – Only vehicles with valid car passes and essential service vehicles will be allowed.
Post-Event Route Adjustments:
No Entry: Towards Mumbai and Kiwale via Mukai Chowk and Kiwale underpass.
Alternative Route:
Turn left from Mukai Chowk.
Proceed via Sameer Lawns.
Continue through Kivale village.
Heavy Vehicle Restrictions (1 PM – Midnight):
Mamurdi to Kanetkar Bungalow and Gahunje Stadium – No entry for heavy vehicles.
Krishna Chowk to Mamurdi underpass and service road near Mamurdi village to Gahunje Stadium – No entry for heavy vehicles.

Follow Designated Routes – Avoid using internal roads in Mamurdi village.
Drive in a Single Lane – The service roads are narrow, so maintaining single-lane discipline will ensure smooth traffic movement.
