Army Personnel Lost His Life While Departing From Running Railway at Daund Railway Station
Pune :
A tragic incident transpired at Daund Railway Station on Sunday morning, where a person who was working as Naik in the Indian Army died while disembarking from the running train at Daund Railway Station. This incident took place on Sunday, January 12, at around 10:30 in the morning.
The deceased individual has been identified as Bhausaheb Shahanu Deokar (age 48, a resident of Shahapur, Taluka Nevasa, District Ahilya Nagar). The constable, Arun Tingre, gave information regarding it.
As per the information, Bhausaheb Deokar was serving in the army in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a Naik. He had been going to his house on vacation. For this, he took the Chennai-Mumbai Express. Deokar was planning to get down at Daund railway station and go to his house from there in Ahilya Nagar.
However, the Chennai-Mumbai Express did not stop at Daund railway station. Therefore, Deokar jumped on platform number two with a bag on his back while the train was passing from the Daund Railway Station, risking his life.
Unfortunately, since he had a heavy bag on his back, the weight of the bag shifted towards the train, and Bhausaheb Deokar was trapped under the train and died. Daund Railway Police handed over his body to his relatives.
