Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge Kicks Off Election Campaign by Taking Blessings of Shri Wagheshwar Maharaj Temple in Charholi
Pune:
Yesterday, the Bhartiya Janata Party released its first list of candidates for the upcoming state assembly election. In this, the party once again chose the sitting MLA from Bhosari, Mahesh Landge, as its candidate for Bhosari assembly constituency. However, immediately after the declaration of his ticket, Mahesh Landge initiated his political campaigning.
Today, he took darshan of the village deity of Charholi village, Shri Wagheshwar Maharaj, temple in Charholi. At that time, former mayors of PCMC Nitin Kalje and Rahul Jadhav and villagers were present with him.
While speaking on this occasion, Mahesh Landge said that Bhosari is my mother, whereas Charholi is my maternal aunt. He said, “After our mother, the one person who loves us, cherishes us with affection, and teaches us to live is our maternal aunt. Therefore, Bhosari is my mother, whereas Charholi is my maternal aunt.” At this time, Landge also expressed that the people of Charholi have always supported him in his political journey.
“I can never forget the support given by people of Charholi during my political struggle. This time, we are facing elections on development issues. In the last 10 years, we boosted the development of villages, including Charholi. The newly included villages were given various positions of honour, including two mayors. We also made efforts to give justice to sons of this land. We are proud that the local people from Charholi became realtors. We build roads and infrastructural facilities in the city. Therefore, the face of Charholi has changed completely. I will further continue to work to make the citizens of the constituency proud,” Landge added.
He further said that he felt that his victory was confirmed as his friends were with him. He also said that his campaigning is continuing in a very happy atmosphere.
At this time, the former mayor, Nitin Kalje, said, “We went with Mahesh Landge in 2014. At that time, we supported him without any expectations. After that, when the BJP party came to power in the Municipal Corporation in 2017, he (Landge) gave me the opportunity to become the mayor. I got such a big position only because of him. Later, Charholi village was included in the municipality. Till then, not a simple DP road was in Charholi. The people from Charholi know what the previous situation was. In 2017, Charholi village got real justice through MLA Mahesh Landge.”
Kalje also expressed his confidence that, like 2014, Mahesh Landge will receive the maximum votes from this area, and Charholi will play an important role in Landge’s victory in the upcoming election.
