Pune :
A shocking incident has come to light from Barshi Taluka of Solapur District, where a 34-year-old married woman was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and her chosen brother. Both the accused took the woman to a lodge on Kurduvadi Road from the car and simultaneously raped her by threatening to kill her.
After the victim woman’s complaint in this case, the police have registered a case against Suresh Parsu Mali and Santosh Bhaskar Bhanavse. After the arrest, when both individuals were produced in the Barshi court, they were remanded to police custody by the court.
As per the police information, the victim woman’s husband works in Pune, whereas for the past three months, the victim woman has been residing in Barshi Taluka along with her daughter. For the past seven years, she had been in love with Suresh Parsu Mali. Further, Suresh’s friend, Santosh Bhanavse, was considering the victim woman as a sister.
The plaintiff complained that earlier in the month of September, Suresh Mali and Santosh Bhanavse had come to Barshi Taluka from Pune to take the woman with them. However, when the woman refused them, Suresh Mali assaulted her.
After that, Santosh Bhanavse requested the woman to persuade Suresh to marry his daughter to Santosh’s son. Accordingly, the woman talked to Suresh and fixed Santosh’s son’s marriage to Suresh’s daughter. On December 22, 2024, the marriage took place to which the woman had gone along with her husband. But that day, as the woman’s husband drank so much alcohol, Suresh Mali and Santosh Bhanavse sent him from the bus.
After that, both the individuals asked the woman to sit inside the car, saying that they would drop her at the house. However, on that night, Suresh Mali took her car to the lodge on Kurduvadi Road and raped the woman with the help of Santosh Bhanavse. After that, they threatened the woman against filing a police complaint in this regard. Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Valasne is conducting further investigation in this case.
