Bury Akshay Shinde’s body by Monday: High Court to State Government
Mumbai: Akshay Shinde, the main accused in the Badlapur sexual abuse of minor girls case, was killed in an encounter with the police. Following his death, his last rites are being opposed in Badlapur and his family is unable to bury his body as they are not getting space at any burial ground, as per the complaint of his parents.
An important hearing in this regard was conducted in the High Court on Friday (September 27). The HC ordered the State Government to bury his body by Monday. The public prosecutor also assured the court that a burial place would be made available.
According to details, the main accused in the Badlapur case, Akshay Shinde, was killed in an encounter with the police. Residents of Badlapur opposed his burial in their city. His parents approached the court over the issue.
An application was filed in the Bombay High Court to grant space for Akshay’s burial. Following the hearing, the court issued the order.
