Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday (January 7) released the 7-Point Action Programme for all officials in the State aimed at the ‘ease of living’ in the common people’s daily life.

Fadnavis held a dialogue, through video conferencing, with all Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, Police Commissioners and Police Superintendents in the State. He issued detailed instructions to the state administration to do certain tasks on priority in the next 100 days.

A review meeting will be held on April 15, 2025 about action taken on instructions issued by the CM on Tuesday. DyCM Eknath Shinde, DyCM Ajit Pawar and all ministers were present.

Fadnavis told officials, “Update the portal of your respective offices. Make available on the portal all details that can be published under the RTI Act. Secure the portal from cyber attacks. Keep all government offices clean. Dispose of unnecessary documents. Scrap damaged or not-in-use vehicles.

“Moreover, ensure that drinking water and clean toilets are available for visitors to government offices. Officials will pay surprise visits to check if proper facilities are provided. At least two improvements and novel initiatives should be implemented in every office to make citizens’ life easy. Try to attain zero pendency of work. Write on the board when officials would be available for citizens.”

Fadnavis pulled up officials for crowding at the Mantralaya. He said, “Local issues are not sorted at taluka or district levels. Therefore, people visit the Secretariat in hordes. Initiatives such as Lokshahi Din should be effectively implemented in this connection.

“Care should be taken that entrepreneurs, business persons visiting various places in the State for investment should not be harassed by anyone. Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors should hold a dialogue with officers of the departments concerned and business persons.”
