Devendra Fadnavis challenges Sharad Pawar to name opposition’s CM face
Mumbai: The Maha Yuti held a press meet in the city on Wednesday (October 16). CM Eknath Shinde, DyCM Devendra Fadnavis and DyCM Ajit Pawar presented the report card of the past two years of their government.
Media persons asked Shinde to comment on NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar’s statement that the Maha Yuti should name their Chief Ministerial face. Addressing a press conference Sharad Pawar recently said the ruling combine should declare their CM face.
Shinde and Fadnavis answered the question. CM Shinde replied, “The opposition should first decide the Leader of Opposition.”
He said, “Sharad Pawar knows who will be their Chief Minister. None of us have ambitions of becoming the Chief Minister. Our work for over two years is our CM face. They should decide the Leader of the Opposition.”
Fadnavis directly challenged Sharad Pawar in the presence of Ajit Pawar. He said, “The ruling alliance is not worried about the Chief Minister’s post. Because the Chief Minister is present here. You better ask the opposition to name the CM face. I challenge Sharad Pawar to declare their Chief Ministerial candidate.”
