Devendra Fadnavis comments on Home portfolio

Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has thanked his opponents for his comeback. He said that he could fight against odds due to their opposition.
In 2019, Fadnavis said, “Do not try to take advantage of my temporary weakness. I know my strength. I will come back.” He proved his statement after swearing in as the new CM.
He also commented on the Home portfolio. Fadnavis said, “Eknath Shinde was never disappointed. Discussion was underway between the two parties, which caused a delay.”
Fadnavis clarified on the differences between the Shiv Sena (BT) and the NCP (AP) over the Home portfolio. When asked if he would retain the Home Ministry, Fadnavis replied, “We are discussing it seriously. I will let you know when a decision is made.”
Commenting on the portfolio distribution, he said, “The three alliance partners have got a big mandate this time. Therefore, each one of them claims that they should have a maximum number of ministers. The three parties have been adequately honoured. We have to check our aspirations while running the government. The State Cabinet will be expanded before December 16.”
Fadnavis was asked if the Hindutva agenda helped them in the elections and if it polarised votes in the State. He replied, “Hindutva has its influence in Maharashtra but it cannot be called polarisation. It is anti-polarisation.”
