Devendra Fadnavis Held Grand Rally for Campaign of Bhimrao Tapkir at Khadakwasla; Promises Tax Benefit to Newly Included Villages
Pune:
With less than three to four days remaining for the state election, the campaigning in the state has reached its peak. All big leaders are taking three to four big rallies every day in the state and giving a large number of promises to voters to come into power. Amidst this, the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis, yesterday took a grand rally for the BJP’s Khadakwasla candidate Bhimrao Tapkir at Dhankawadi.
In this rally, Fadnavis assured promises to newly included villages in the PMC by giving them tax benefits for the first five years. Fadnavis said, “Villages included in the Municipal Corporation get facilities of the corporation after five to seven years. However, even before that, the villages have to pay a large amount of taxes. Now, after changing the law, the villages included in the Municipal Corporation will have to pay taxes as per the Gram Panchayat for the first five years.” Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured during the meeting that as the facilities will be created in the included villages, the municipal taxes will be levied on those villages in proportion to the services.
This will be a great relief for the newly included villages in the Pune Municipal Corporation. Further, Fadnavis said, “Efforts are being made by the state government to liberate Pune city from slums. Our new government coming to the state will issue more credit notes in the areas covered by the city, which will further ensure that new systems will get created in the city.
Fadnavis also applauded the significant development of the metro service in Pune city. He said, “After Narendra Modi came into power in 2014, a tremendous amount of work was done to transform the Pune city. After Delhi, it was decided to make Metro in Pune, and for that a separate MahaMetro was established. Pune Metro is being built at the fastest pace in the country.”
“For the first time in the country, a multimodal hub integrating public transport is being built at Swargate. We approved the metro line between Khadakwasla and Kharadi in three days. At Chandni Chowk, through the planning of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the state government acquired land and transformed Chandni Chowk, freeing the citizens from traffic jams,” Fadnavis added.
Various dignitaries, including MLA Bhimrao Tapkir, the BJP State General Secretary Rajesh Pandey, former MP Pradeep Rawat, Shiv Sena District Chief Ramesh Konde, RPI City President Sanjay Sonawane, former Mayor Dattatray Dhankawade, former Deputy Mayor Dilip Barate, Dilip Vede Patil, etc., were present at this time on the stage.
