Devendra Fadnavis to become Chief Minister? Announcement likely on November 25 evening
Pune: The Maha Yuti performed really well under the leadership of the BJP in the State polls. The party has topped the tally of winners’ list in the State. It has won over 100 seats in the third consecutive State elections.
This time, it has bagged 132 seats and its MLAs have demanded that their party should get the Chief Minister’s post. The BJP leadership will hold a meeting in Delhi on Monday, where DyCM Devendra Fadnavis could be nominated as the next Chief Minister.
BJP leaders have been insisting on his name for the Chief Ministership. However, it is learnt that there has been no particular formula fixed for the Chief Minister’s post in the Maha Yuti.
NCP (AP) leader Ajit Pawar made a statement that they would support Fadnavis as the new Chief Minister. However, Shiv Sena (BT) MLAs demanded that Eknath Shinde should continue to serve as the CM. The BJP has won 132, the Shiv Sena (BT) 57 and the NCP (AP) 41 seats in the State polls.
BJP MLAs expressed their desire that Fadnavis should become the next CM. MLA Shivendraraje Bhosale said, “Our leader Devendra Fadnavis should become the Chief Minister. We have got an unprecedented mandate under his leadership. Fadnavis worked very hard and empowered us. We all wish that Devendra Fadnavis should become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.”

Devendra Fadnavis is a leader who can coordinate well among the three alliance partners and can lead the Maha Yuti government. Therefore, we will be happy if he becomes the Chief Minister.”
MLA Kishor Jorgewar said, “The people of Maharashtra want Devendra Fadnavis as their Chief Minister. They have given a massive mandate to the BJP. Therefore, Fadnavis will get the Chief Ministership. All MLAs feel so strongly for him.”
MLA Rahul Dhikale said, “Devendra Fadnavis has strengthened a youth like me. He worked among the masses and implemented the Ladki Bahin Yojana successfully. The people in the State want Fadnavis to become the Chief Minister.”
Meanwhile, a meeting will be held in Delhi to decide the Chief Minister’s face. The Shiv Sena (BT) led by Eknath Shinde demanded that he should continue to serve as the CM. Party MLAs insisted on a 2.5-year tenure for him. However, the leadership in Delhi will decide on the issue on Monday (November 25). It will be clear by the evening on Monday whether Shinde gets to keep the post or a new face emerges as the CM.
