Did we do injustice to Ajit Pawar by naming him Deputy Chief Minister four times, asks Sharad Pawar
Baramati: NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar has reacted to allegations that his party did injustice to Ajit Pawar. He said, “How can you call it injustice if he was made the Deputy Chief Minister four times and was a minister for many years and enjoyed power? Yugendra Pawar is a fresh face. He should get an opportunity.”
Sharad Pawar, along with his wife Pratibha Pawar, Sadanand Sule, Revati Sule and Vijay Sule, exercised their franchise at the voting centre in the Shambhusinh High School and College, Malegaon near here. Later, he addressed the media.
In the concluding poll rally held for the campaign of Ajit Pawar in Baramati, a letter written by his mother was read out, in which she said that injustice was done to her son. When asked to comment on this, Sharad Pawar said, “What injustice is he talking about? He held the Deputy Chief Minister’s post four times; he was a state minister for many years and enjoyed all power. Can you still call it injustice?”
‘I am not an astrologer’
Asked to comment on Ajit Pawar’s claim that the Maha Yuti would win 175 seats, Sharad Pawar said, “The State will have a Maha Vikas Aghadi government. It will be a majority government. I am not an astrologer to predict an exact number of seats. With reference to Ajit Pawar’s claim, he predicted only 175. He should have predicted 280.”
