Discrepancy in number of children in Dhananjay Munde’s poll affidavits
Beed: NCP (AP) leader and State Minister Dhananjay Munde is contesting from the Parali Assembly constituency. In an affidavit filed along with his nomination, it is mentioned that his wife and five children are dependent on him.
But in his 2019 poll affidavit, he mentioned that his wife and three children were dependent on him.
It is mandatory that every poll contestant has to give details such as their assets, dependent family members, cases registered, etc, in the affidavit. In the State Assembly elections 2024, 409 candidates filed 566 nominations from the six Assembly segments in the district. Of them 61 nominations of 33 candidates were found invalid. No nominations of main candidates were found invalid.
Munde has mentioned five children in the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission. In his 2019 affidavit, Munde mentioned his wife Rajashree Munde and three daughters: Vaishnavi Munde, Janhavi Munde and Adishree Munde.
In his 2024 affidavit, he has mentioned two more children, including Sishiv Munde and Shivani Munde.
Thus, Dhananjay Munde has given names of following children in his affidavit: Shivani Munde, Sishiv Munde, Vaishnavi Munde, Janhavi Munde and Adishree Munde.
In his 2019 affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, Munde mentioned the following names of his children: Vaishnavi Munde, Janhavi Munde and Adishree Munde.
