Drinking Spree Turns Deadly: Worker Murdered Over Drinking Argument in Alandi

In a startling incident, a worker was killed by hitting a gas cylinder in his head over an argument between two people while drinking alcohol. In this regard, the Dighi police have arrested one individual.
The murdered worker has been identified as Santosh Shankar Khandare (age 45, a resident of Kalewadi, near Dhaktya Paduka Mandir, Alandi). In this case, police have arrested an accused, Ganesh Khandare (age 23, a resident of Kale Colony, Charholi, and an original resident of Washim).
This incident took place on Sunday evening around 7 p.m. at Santosh Khandare’s house. Badri Vitthal Chavan (age 35, a resident of Kale Colony, Charholi, Taluka Haveli) has filed a complaint with the Dighi police in this regard.
As per the police information, the deceased Santosh Khandare and the accused Ganesh Khandare are both workers. On Sunday evening, they were drinking alcohol at Santosh Khandare’s house. At that time, they had a minor argument between them. In that inebriated state, Ganesh Khandare hit a gas cylinder at Santosh Khandare’s head in a fit of anger.
In this, Santosh Khandare was heavily injured and subsequently died. In this regard, police have arrested Ganesh Khandare, and Police Sub-Inspector Ranaware is investigating further.
