Mumbai:

On Saturday, a few assailants killed former minister Baba Siddique in Mumbai by firing bullets at him. After this incident, all the opposition leaders collectively targeted the Mahayuti government, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The Rajya Sabha MP of the Shiv Sena (UBT) group has even accused CM Shinde of backing the goons.

Meanwhile, CM Eknath Shinde has responded to all these criticisms and has warned that those who killed Siddique will be hanged. Shinde said, “Oppositions have double standards. It is our responsibility to maintain law and order in the state. Baba Siddique was a representative of the people. Two people who fired on Siddique have been arrested, and the other one who is absconding, he too, will be traced.”

Shinde further said that none of the attackers will be spared. “We will run the case in fast-track court; we will hang all of them. Terrorism from people who come from other states will not be tolerated in Mumbai. We will give a befitting answer to this,” added Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

At this time, he also rebuked the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi. He said, “During the Mahavikas Aghadi government, the Home Minister was in jail. A bomb was planted outside the industrialist’s house, in which the police were involved. The policemen were taking installments from every hotelier. At that time, the Home Minister who was responsible for maintaining law and order was himself in jail.”

Shinde further warned that whoever will take the law in hand will not leave him. We will take strict action against them.

Further, Shinde also talked about the state cabinet’s today’s decision of toll waiver for light motor vehicles entering Mumbai. He said, “There was a demand for toll waiver. I am satisfied that millions of people will benefit from it. It will take less time to reach Mumbai, and hence pollution will also be reduced. Like a Ladki Bahin Yojana, we also bring Ladki Pravasi Yojana. This is a masterstroke. This decision is not just for the election but permanent. They won the elections through electoral gimmicks. They have no moral right to speak,” said Shinde.

He also informed that the government has decided to name the Skill University after Ratan Tata
