Employee Steals Bank’s Master Password, Demands Rs 25 Lakh Ransom in Shocking Extortion Case

A shocking case has come to light in which an employee of a company providing collection services to Axis Bank across India stole the company’s master password, bank data, and employee data and demanded an extortion from the company. In this regard, the company has now approached the Viman Nagar Police Station after 1.5 years after this employee demanded a 20 percent stake in the company and a ransom of Rs 25 lakh.

In this regard, Subrahmanyam Arunmugham Konar (age 44, a resident of Palladium Exotica, Madhav Nagar, Dhanori) has filed a complaint at the Vimantal Police Station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Shravan Ajit Korde (a resident of Madhukash Apartment, Dhayari).

This entire incident took place at Radiaant Captive (India) Private Limited company in Sakore Nagar of the Viman Nagar area between 2020 and July 14, 2023.

According to the police information, Radiaant Captive is a company that provides collection services to Axis Bank across India. Shravan Korde was working in this company. While working in the company, he stole the company’s master password, bank data, data of the company’s employees, etc., and demanded ransom from the company in exchange for this data.

He threatened the company’s partner, Mahesh Kolamkar, through a WhatsApp call, saying that this information belonged to him and if the company did not pay him Rs 5 lakh, they would face a lot of trouble. After that, the company was negotiating with Korde.

In negotiation, Korde demanded a ransom of a 20 percent stake in the company and Rs 25 lakh in cash. He also threatened to defame the company by making the company’s information viral on social media if the money was not paid to him.

Meanwhile, he took the passwords of the mail IDs of all the employees of the company and changed them without their consent. Due to this, all the employees of the company had to suffer a lot of difficulties.

As the company failed to find any solution through it, the company finally approached the police and filed a complaint against the accused at the Vimantal police station. Police Sub-Inspector Chetan Bhosale is investigating further in this case.
