Fatal Car Accident on Pune-Nashik Highway Claims Married Couple’s Lives, One Injured

A tragic incident transpired on Sunday, January 26, where a married couple who were going to Nashik for a wedding from Pune died in a fatal car accident. This incident took place on January 26, near Malwadi Shivar on the Pune-Nashik highway. Primary information in the case suggests that out of four people in the car, two individuals died on the spot, whereas another person has sustained severe injuries in the accident.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Sachin Vasantrao Darekar (age 57) and Rama Sachin Darekar (age 53), both residents of Darekar Wada, Guruwar Peth, Pune.
As per the information, Sachin Darekar, his wife, Rama Darekar, Seema Surendra Deshmukh, and Surendra Deshmukh were going to Nashik for a wedding by car on Sunday, January 26, at around 5:30 a.m. While they were near Malwadi Shivar on the Pune-Nashik National Highway, they met with a car accident.
Immediately, they were admitted to the private hospital for treatment at Alephata; however, Sachin and Rama Darekar died before the treatment. Meanwhile, Seema Deshmukh has also sustained serious injuries in the accident and has been taking treatment at the hospital.
According to the information given by Satish Vasantrao Darekar, brother of the deceased Sachin Darekar, the Ghargaon police have registered a case of accidental death in this regard. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Kalpesh Dabhade.
