Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak clicks selfie with Journalist-Writer Digambar Darade

Pune: Journalist-Writer Digambar Darade recently experienced the simplicity and amiability of Former United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during the latter’s India visit.

Darade said, “I had the opportunity to meet Former UK PM Rishi Sunak in connection with his biography I have written. During our interaction, he took out his mobile phone and took a selfie with me. Everyone was in awe due to his gesture. I experienced his simplicity and amiability.”

The meeting took place at 6 pm in Mumbai on Sunday. Darade presented Sunak a copy of his book ‘Rishi Sunak’, which the journalist wrote during his stay in London. Sunak was excited to see the book written on his life. He appreciated the writer’s efforts when he saw his photo on the cover page. Sunak expressed his heart-felt thanks to Darade for writing the book. He said, “I will read the book and give my feedback.”

Darade said, “I could feel Former UK Prime Minister’s simplicity frequently. His effortlessness and natural conduct were impressive. He was meeting everyone present with a smile.”

Rishi Sunak, who has Indian ancestry, has been having very warm relations with India. He is the son-in-law of Infosys Founder and MP Sudha Murty and Entrepreneur Narayana Murthy. Sunak had the honour to become the PM of the UK, which ruled India for over 150 years. Every Indian feels proud about him. Sunak is equanimous and is proud about his roots. He visits temples and worships Hindu Gods. He swore by the Bhagavad Gita when he took the oath of office as the UK’s PM.
