Heavy Rainfall Expected in Konkan and Central Maharashtra Early August

Pune: The meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall in the August month in Maharashtra. Konkan and parts of central Maharashtra have been issued heavy rainfall warnings between August 1 and 3, while Vidarbha has been given a yellow alert. But, except for some parts, a low rainfall warning has been issued in most parts of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
In the month of July, there was good rain everywhere in the state except in the Marathwada region. The weather forecast department has predicted that the same rain will occur in the first week of August. This rain will start on July 31 itself. Mainly Kovan and most of the districts of central Maharashtra have been warned of heavy rain. This warning has been given to the mountain areas of Pune and Kolhapur, along with Konkan.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast department has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ to Thane (on August 3), Raigad (from 1 to 3), Ratnagiri (from 1 to 3), Sindhudurg (on August 2 and 3), Kolhapur (from August 1 to 3), Satara (from 1 to 3), Chandrapur (August 2), Gadchiroli (August 2), and Gondiya (2).
Similarly, ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued to Thane (On 31, 1 and 2), Mumbai (August 1 to 3), Sindhudurg (August 1), Dhule, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon (August 3), Nashik (August 2), Pune (31), Kolhapur (August 3), Satara (31), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (3), Jalna (August 2 and 3), Parbhani (3), Hingoli and Nanded (August 2 and 3), Latur (3), and Akola (31, 1, 2, and 3).
