Gadchiroli: DyCM has once again said that it was a mistake leaving his uncle and senior politician Sharad Pawar. He made this statement here while commenting on State Minister Dharmrao Baba Atram’s daughter Bhagyshree Atram-Halgekar possibly joining the NCP (SP).

Ajit Pawar is on a tour of Gadchiroli district as a part of Jan Sanman Yatra being conducted by the NCP (AP) across the state. The Yatra is a campaign to hold a dialogue with people ahead of the State Assembly elections.

Ajit Pawar said, “I do not like this. I have experienced it that society does not like someone splitting the family. I have admitted that leaving ‘Saheb’ (Sharad Pawar) was a big mistake.”

He said, “Nobody is as affectionate to a woman as her father. But you are trying to split the family, which is not correct.”

Ajit Pawar joined the Maha Yuti government, along with MLAs from his party, and became the DyCM. In the fight between the Maha Yuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi during the Lok Sabha elections, the latter got more seats than the former. Voters rejected the Maha Yuti. Apparently, Ajit Pawar was referring to this.
