Manoj Jarange announces morcha over Santosh Deshmukh murder in Pune on January 5
Pune: There has been unrest in the State over the Santosh Deshmukh murder case. People from all strata of society have demanded justice. Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil has criticised State Minister Dhananjay Munde and has announced holding of a morcha on Sunday (January 5) in Pune.
A morcha was earlier held in Beed over the issue. Another one was held in Parbhani, where many leaders were present. Addressing the gathering, Jarange warned the government and said, “Dhananjay Deshmukh (brother of the deceased) has been threatened. If it continues to happen, we will not allow Dhananjay Mude to roam freely. If the accused in the murder are released, we will beat them up.
“I did not name anyone in the case till date. But today, I am directly naming the person. We will allow Dhananjay Munde to appear in public if the Deshmukh family is harassed. We tolerated the death of our brother but we will not tolerate the Deshmukh family’s harassment.”
Manoj Jarange raised some questions in the Parbhani Morcha. He said, “Who sheltered the accused in Pune? Why are accused of serious crimes found in Pune? The accused in the murder and extortion cases should undergo the Narco test.”
Later, Jarange announced the holding of a morcha in Pune on Sunday. The morcha will be held over the Massajog Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case. He appealed to the Maratha community members to join the morcha. MLA Suresh Dhas and MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar will be present in the morcha.
